Mama number 3 is in labor. The other 2 are coparenting their 11 kittens. (If you rewind the dvr you can see the whole crew. )
These cats come from a rural farm. They are used to humans and they will be spayed as will the kittens (spay/neuter)

(577 posts)I'm sure you're good at what you do but I spent 30 years as an LVT and part of my job was euthanizing litters of pups and kits bcz of over breeding and over population. Breeding offends me and if you've even seen an over used uterus from an over bred female anything; It's really sad. Sorry if I hurt your feelings. But I saw reality.

(5,701 posts)This volunteer organization founded by Shelley Roche over a decade ago has recused 100s
of ferals and has placed them in loving homes or after TNR has returned them to protected
colonies where they are fed and monitored for additional health issues.
This group has influenced people around the world to do the same. Shelley is a beautiful
example how one person acting in love and compassion can truly change our world.

From the linked video:
76% of our Hellga cats have type B blood, so please be aware that we will need to blood type kittens as they're born in order to prevent a fatal condition called Neonatal Isoerythrolysis. This can be stressful to watch, and is definitely not our favorite thing to do, but it is the only way we can ensure no kittens are lost to a condition we can prevent.
We livestream our rescued cats, 24 hours a day, uncensored, to raise awareness about the realities of cat overpopulation in a way that inspires compassion.

...into TK. I want that little orange and white baby -
I always find the chat fascinating - fans from all over the world.

That quite a "box of chocolates" of kitten colors. One person in the chat commented that the dilute coat mothers have the more brightly colored kittens, and vice versa.

(29,571 posts)Female cats do not ovulate until the act of mating occurs. It's called "induced ovulators." If a female in heat mates with more than one male, kittens of the same litter can have different daddies.
We have a brother-sister pair of Siamese, whose mother was a tortie, and whose 2 litter mates were one gray and one tortie.

(25,585 posts)from watching TK since 2015. Things I wish I'd known when I had my first cat way back in the 80s.
One of the biggest things has been watching (some) feral cats become great housecats... even lap cats.
Shelly has accumulated so much knowledge which she shares with all the viewers.
And yes, chatters from all over the world and some of the mods too.
We're also lucky she is good with technology such as setting up multiple cameras in multiple rooms too!!

OMG - I've been watching these adorable kits for the last three hours, and have to drag myself away.
BUT - thanks for all the cuteness. I can see I'll be a "regular" now...HOOKED!

(25,585 posts)I started watching in 2015.... it is addicting and educational too. Sometimes when I'm going to bed I think "let me take a quick look at the cats"... haha a big mistake.
Just wait until they're in the shenanigans stage. It's going to be total mayhem.... and I can't wait.
