I am actually a big fan of American Trash Culture, such as B, C, or even D movies, pulp fiction, garage rock, underground comics. But I draw a line at the contrived "reality TV".

I have no problem with The Godfather saga, the Harry Potter stuff, or with Taylor Swift. I am simply not interested in them. Everybody should watch/view/read whatever interests them personally. We are all different (Thank God) and we can all pursue our own paths. Entertainment is a product this world is truly glutted with.

Watched one episode of Breaking Bad. Too many scientific flaws for me. One & done.
Not one episode of GoT.
I did watch Seinfeld, though.

I suppose a technical advisor for the show must have seemed superfluous to the producers.

Or, they had one but ignored them because the story was better without those pesky scientific principles.

A sane MAGA.

Graphic novels.

Terrorist immigrants (I know that a few exist, but have not known any, and I used to teach ESL so I've known a lot of immigrants)

Anything by Taylor Swift. Any of the Fast and Furious series. The Apprentice TV series (or should I say the notorious Apprentice TV series). I've seen the fallout from this last one, but never actually watched it.

Survivor. The Amazing Race. American Idol. The list of "reality" series is very, very long, and grows each season.

And based on what I’ve heard about it, I’ll keep this record intact.

It's WAY too long, the cinematography is overrated, the story thread is very sympathetic to the slave owning south (so many victims), the acting is overwrought & melodramatic in many spots.
I saw it for the first time in a HS film class. 40 minutes each day until the whole thing was done.
Hated it 55 years ago. No interest in ever seeing it again.
Your decision to keep your record in tact is wise!

I saw it when I was 16, the height of teenage girl romanticism, and I thought it was long and boring.

I have never managed to stay awake for the whole movie.

Also, the costume design was magnificent.

Don’t get me wrong; I’m a big fan of gratuitous sex. Ghoulish gratuitous violence? Not so much.

I also probably wouldn't recognize Lady Gaga if she walked past me on the street.

they had a disclaimer for an episode featuring blackface (you know, it was the times)- no such disclaimer for the rampant sexism in every episode

NO on reality T.V.! Just No (for me).

NO Kardasians (not sp. correctly on purpose)
NO Housewives
NO Survivor
NO American Idol

No Bachelorettes, no abusive chef shows

I managed 5 minutes of The Sopranos.

I hate mafia culture. Too close to home. ( Not my waspy family, but it was all around my rust belt town, and my civil rights father was threatened.)

Have never watched a single episode.

I never saw the movie Saturday Night Fever, most recent Disney movies, none of the Fast & Furious movies, none of the Twilight books and movies, or Hunger Games stuff.

Never seen the Andrew L W, The Phantom of the Opera, never seen Hamilton, or Mamma Mia!, or Jersey Boys, Rent,

I haven't purchased any popular music from the past 30 years...I have a lot of unpopular music from that time...and a lot of popular music before then.

Never read a Da Vinci Code, Dragon Tattoo, Harry Potter, 50 Shade of.., etc...

Nor do I care about any of the reality shows.
