The DU Lounge

Today is the day I've been waiting for since February 16. I gave up chocolate for Lent (as I do every year) and today is the end of Lent. I have Girl Scout Thin Mints and Samoas and a myriad of mini chocolate bunnies and eggs to celebrate.* Unfortunately, I went to the endodontist on Thursday and have stitches over the tooth they restored. My mouth is still misshapen; it's hard to eat; and the antibiotics I was given make me queasy. I don't feel like eating anything.
I know this is not all that important in the grand scheme of things, but it sure is a disappointment to me.
* I bought five bags of chocolate Easter candy to take over to a family gathering that I had to bow out of. I just don't feel up to it.
But I sincerely wish everyone here a great day! I am so grateful for my DU family. I really feel at home here.

(6,395 posts)The chocolate will taste really good when you finally get to have it. Let's hope the healing happens well...and it is soon.

(3,092 posts)As the day goes on, I find myself wanting that chocolate more and more. I just might have to force myself to eat a mini bunny or two and let the chips fall where they may!
