(17,988 posts)I decided to up my intake by draining my water glass dry every time I pick it up.
Just found out it's a 10 gulp glass.

(22,789 posts)I try to drink 4 to 6 bottles of Wegman's Spring water per day.
16.9 oz bottle = 500ml = 1/2 liter.
I polish off one bottle in about 3 "10 gulps"
That's a pretty responsible intake. If I matched that I'd be satisfying my wife's formula, which is 1/3 of ones body mass in ozs. per day.
I feel better when I am diligent about it, but I drink tea casually all morning - and can't get excited by plain water, so I slack off around noon.
You're an inspiration, though, so I'll try to routinize it.

(22,789 posts)I drink that maybe twice a week.
The other days, I'll start off with a big mug of decaf with Benefiber dissolved into it.
After that, I start with the water.

(4,526 posts)I have to throw up. Needless to say, I am chronically dehydrated.

(10,128 posts)I am really bad at drinking water or any liquid except coffee. I am on one of those GLP-1 meds and apparently the same mechanism that suppresses your appetite also suppresses thirst. Makes sense.

(22,789 posts)So I kind of have to force the water down. It's a chore sometimes.
