I’m just happy we have plenty of plant based options in my city, even if I can’t find all my former favorites. It's no longer there. I have no idea when it closed. But I've never been able to find chocolate chip ice cream anywhere else nearly as good as that.

Bought when went out earlier today.

Have always loved ice cream but should not eat often or much now as diabetic II.

But have a broken tooth that subsequently lost an old filling and became infected.

My dental care in recent years has been Indian Health Service and even that is a 50 mile drive.

The Tribe has a nearly brand new 6 bay dentist building but no dentist. They have hired several that did not last. One took out a damaged molar and managed to damage the adjacent tooth and ended up losing three teeth on the one side. Went through chemo for lymphoma and was hard on my teeth and body in general.

Was just at the adjacent to new dental building for IHS doctor office Monday The doctor told me that the dentist was back, but he didn't realize that the most recent dentist had already come and gone, why I had not yet gotten any help for the tooth. That doctor was new and is also already leaving. Too remote for his wife and too many locals are not that friendly to blacks.

In the meantime, I have an excuse to eat ice cream because I cannot chew

When I was a child (until 1964 when destroyed by a major flood), my family owned one of two local stores (only one now) and there was a lunch counter with great Humboldt Creamery ice cream. Now one needs to drive 85 miles to get fresh sit down ice cream.

In the East SF Bay Area, there was Fenton's (still exists) and Berkeley Farms ("farms in Berkeley?" people used to say, we had milk delivery at a home in Danville from Berkeley Farms and we went to the Berkeley Farms Creamery in Walnut Creek for a treat).

I love ice cream, favorite is cherry with chocolate.
