Significance: Pi represents the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, a constant roughly equal to 3.14159.

History: Founded in 1988 by Larry Shaw at San Francisco’s Exploratorium, it is also Albert Einstein’s birthday.

Celebration: Celebrated with mathematical activities and, frequently, eating "pie".

One of our family friends resembled a famous singer. People often told him he looked like Kenny Rogers. He was older than Kenny Rogers, so he'd say, "No, Kenny Rogers looks like me!"
