I got pissed off about a show because a 10 yr. old boy was wearing a tie at suppertime. Who the heck has a kid wearing a tie in the house. I was shorts and t shirt full time at home. I don't like shows about people that live in apartments in a city. Grew up rural with land around me. The scene that most ticked me off recently Was Homeland where the woman got mad at the husband for doing dishes in the sink in stead of the washer. I enjoy doing dishes in the sink and make quick work of it. it is kind of meditation time for me. We have been watching French subtitled crime shows on streaming, SO's pick. I hated Tandem and almost all the characters and the writing. Watching Cassandre now and i like the greek name reference to the main character and the scenery.

We went on a Royal Caribbean cruise about year ago, and there was a large group of older gay men who take trips together. One night some of the men dressed for dinner as Mrs. Roper. That was a hoot!

But you know people will almost go to fisticuffs for shows and actors they like.
I am a fan of Britcoms they tend to be a little more meaty.

After the first season, it just kept getting weirder and weirder without resolving any of the previous weirdnesses. After six seasons, it turned out that everyone is already dead.

It reminds me of the film Inception where the story is all about weird dreams interacting. At the end, the resolution was literally, “And then I woke up.”

Lousy story telling.

110. There were two things about Lost that I enjoyed

1. After the show, my daughter and I would get on the phone and discuss every aspect of the show. It was great fun; we could not watch it together since I am in Texas and she is in Arizona

2. Many DUers will remember that there was a Lost Group here. It was a real hoot too. There were great nicknames for many of the characters (as we all know DUers are hilarious) and great theory posts about whatever strange thing had happened in the show. (some of which were incredibly inventive and off the wall hilarious. My favorite nickname: the Smoke Monster was known as Old Smokey.

Almost singlehandedly killed music videos on MTV and launched "reality tv" which is by far the stupidest genre of television to ever exist. It's as if Idiocracy was a 25 year long tv show rather than a full length movie.

Loved Seinfeld and Everyone Loves Raymond though. Every few weeks something happens that immediately reminds me of something on Seinfeld. I also have a livelong friend who looks just like Ray Romano.

A few others I couldn't stand however were Roseanne, Good Times & Maude.

for my husband, especially complex plots. He watched old sitcoms like Everybody Loves Raymond and old westerns like Gunsmoke. We’d see the same episodes over and over, but he didn’t remember. I never said anything as long as it made him happy. But the one show I thought was overrated was Two and a Half Men. Charlie Sheen makes me gag.
