Depending on the number of visitors showing up, I'll put out 2-5 lbs daily of cracked corn for the locals.
Today, I saw the biggest deer I've seen. My faithful dog Skippa, for whatever reason, was outside and didn't notice the diner until he was safely inside.

I called my neighbor and he approached the fat deer with a pail of food. Last I saw, they were heading into the woods. I mean, how do you get a 1500 lb fat deer to cooperate?

Did you find out who belongs to it?

(32,035 posts)Talked with the neighbor and fat deer is back in their grazing pasture. More importantly, I had a great convo with him and we agreed to have a couple of sociable beers over here in the near future.

(32,035 posts)Today. I found it 30 feet away, close to my drive. I thought..."wtf?". Deer haven't used it at all in the past 2 months.
Now, I know.
