The Electric Company Just Called Me

My end of town is going to have its electricity shut off from 10 Am to 2 PM for emergency repairs.

Glad they called, I was getting ready to put a rump roast in the slow cooker.

It's 20 degrees out with 10 MPH winds so I feel for the workers. I have a 30,000 BTU ceramic heater in my basement that will keep me tidied over just from the pilot light.

Many years ago I remember working outside, here in central Pa. when the temperature never got above zero for a high for the whole month of February. Nobody got sick, it was too cold for the germs.

Going to shut my computer down so don't get mad if I don't reply to you, over and out.

Coming in to work on a huge Norway Spruce in my yard that is grown around the power lines.
Don’t know how long they will be and have no back up heat. So… going to have to suit up.

Stay toasty. Luckily it’s not as cold as it has been.

Bug infested pine trees around my house, I still have too many. The huge hemlock I had to have cut down, the stump that’s left gets like concrete.
The ants kill the white pine.

Check out those gas heaters, they aren’t that expensive and work great. Don’t get blue flame they smell a bit.
