If you are going to go, go big !

Or blue whales !

Magic doesn't have the boundaries of mass and physics, so the magic dust will work on any size animal, because "magic"

Landing on roofs could be tough though.

Ok, I'll compromise.

Otters.

They’re already up north, and they’re trained to go the distance in all weather. There was that movie about Balto, who delivered vaccines to Nome, AK during a blizzard, right? I don’t think of golden retrievers as work dogs, but more of a goofy, big wanna-be lap dog—or maybe I’ve only met the derpy ones.

Yes, I know they don't fly -- but neither do reindeer, so that's a pretty silly quibble.

Let the poor little guys share in the glory for once.

Anyone who points out penguins aren't found in the Northern Hemisphere gets slapped with a dead mackerel -- a frozen one.

Bullwinkle being a moose is big enough to pull the sleigh and when you want to fly, you need a flying squirrel.

Dragons already fly without Santa's magic dust so this would save Santa time with chemical engineering.

Also, if other bad sky drivers pull out or pull any last minute lane change procedures in front of Santa almost causing an sky accident, the dragons could open their mouths aim and fire at the bad sky driver. Problem solved and Santa's insurance rates won't get jacked up.

I just suddenly realized that I need a dragon or two!

The Norse goddess has a chariot pulled by cats. I wasn't sure I wanted to believe in a pagan diety, but if she can get cats to pull in one direction, she must be divine. 😾🐈 Santa will need a lot of magic dust and some wowy-powy cat nip.
