(22,734 posts)My Dad had a couple of his albums, so he was a little over my head. Guess my generation listened to the Smothers Brothers and others who came after.
You reminded me of Tom Lehrer, who passed away just this year. I hadn't listened to his parody albums since junior high, but I played a few of his songs when I heard he had died, and I could still sing along

I was introduced to it by someone on the city where I live who not only overdecorates their yard, but rents a radio frequency so people who stop can listen to Christmas music. You really have to have a sense of humor to broadcast a song which makes fun of you while you are actually doing what it makes fun of.
