1. I think people walk around slumped forward looking at their phones, appearing perpetually stunned.

I think the phones are set to "kill," albeit slowly.

They will be the death of humanity, perhaps not the phones per se, but the addictive apps on them.

I remember when tiny TVs were what you had when it was all you can afford, but now people will literally watch movies on a tiny fucking phone - it is bizarre.

At the same time…
Hold the home button, the action button, volume up button, and the letter ‘s’ ….
A drop-down menu appears …
With the all the buttons still depressed, chose between stun, slight paralysis, confuse or obliteration.
Do not stop pressing the buttons until a red outline appears around the Home Screen.

There now you know.

There will be too many idiots who will forget to disable the stun setting when they answer their phone and blow their brains out.

No...but, you'll be able to set your phaser to Do Not Disturb.

(That keeps your target from screaming.)

...to be able to put THEIR phones on stun.
Then have an app that sends the jolt through it.
