Seven hour wait for a $17.00 waffle!

A new diner owned by the creator of Everybody Loves Raymond has become the hottest spot in Los Angeles.

The Larchmont eatery, named Max & Helen's after owner Phil Rosenthal's parents, has been flooded with food bloggers, celebrities and loyal Raymond fans since opening its doors in late October.

When Daily Mail tried to get a table for two last Saturday, we were informed that the waitlist was seven hours long and that they weren't taking reservations.

Together, with head chef Mason Royal, the trio have come up with a menu of 'elevated' diner food that includes a $17 waffle that has already been branded 'one of the best waffles in L.A.'

and a recipe for Belgian waffles. I bet the $17 waffle isn't any better, and I wouldn't have to wait 7 hours to get it. I only wish I could get enough people together to help eat a batch

If we don't meet, I can share the recipe. I took the waffle iron with me on family beach vacations several times and we'd have a waffle morning in our rental. Then everybody got all hyperaware of carbs and sugar, so there went that

I'd wait all day and pay $50 for one of Floyd's Yorkshire Puddings, so who am I to pass judgement!

Everybody Loves Raymond"?
Not me, I hated that crappy show.
(I'm not too crazy about Ray Romano either)

worth about 17 dollars, lol. Used to make it with the grandkids, they loved it.
No place is worth a seven hour wait, I don't care who the chef/owner/head honcho is. If the wait is longer than an hour, it ain't worth it.
