with my family at Thanksgiving! I had a much nicer place to be!

Our local grocery store does a great holiday dinner that we can pick up the day before Thanksgiving. I add some personal touches, a few additional dishes, and we have a peaceful, stress-free Thanksgiving. Oh, and booze, there will be booze.

Then my sister-in-law got jealous and started making dinner at home.

Now we’re the destination.

3 1/2 hr drive for 3 days. I have reservation at family hotel restaurant that makes big dinner every year. Going to buy two breakfasts the day before because nothing is open thanksgiving morning. Room has frig & microwave. Bringing dog and view of ocean, indoor pool.

My kids live out of state, I am either flying if my flight doesn't get canceled for Christmas or will drive over pass and hope for no snow.
