A bookstore where I worked had a little tiny restroom, and not having one of their own, the women from an adjacent clothing store used our toilet.

One of the women would befoul it, then splash way too much perfume around to mask the odor.

Eyes watered. Barf reflex activated.

It was Crest toothpaste.

Fuck Crest.

I thought I had a good thing going there.

You know, brushing my teeth while showering.

I gave up shaving while showering too.

That was a fucking disaster.

Maybe the mildly anesthetic quality deadens the pain.

I've done a lot of odd, experimental things in the name of scientific understanding, mostly as a teenager.

Yes, it burned for a bit. Also, I'm not thrilled with the hairs in my toothbrush.
