The movie scared the hell out of me the first time I watched it, but I must have been 12 or so.

A group of mentally and physically handicapped people were all at the movie with me and my husband. The movie left me awash in joyous and teary emotions. And then I caught the eyes of one of the handicapped adults and his eyes were absolutely lit up with joy – which amped my own joy up exponentially.

So glad you shared that you had a part in Mr. Holland's Opus. It recalled a really special memory to mind.

over $30 million. I wonder if Deb gets money from it yet? The news man in the movie was Chilly Bill Cardille from Pittsburgh's popular Saturday night show "Chiller Theater".
