If anyone would like to watch something calming, heartwarming and wholesome,

The Number One Ladies Detective Series is on YouTube.

I have read many of the books this is based on, and love the books. Reread them from time to time.

I just feel better spending time in this world, if that makes any sense.

I was thinking maybe others might be in need of some calm and peace and a bit of an escape.

Too. I know we have to resist and keep up with the news, but sometimes maybe an hour or two escape in a more pleasant world, does us good.

I was heartbroken when it was cancelled. The series shows such respect to the people and culture of Botswana. As you said, the books are terrific. Alexander McCall Smith writes so beautifully about Botswana and the characters in the books. I just love to reread the books, too! I look forward to new books in the series to be published. Speaking of which, In The Time Of Five Pumpkins comes out September 30, 2025!

I can't wait for the next book! I hoped that the TV series would come back, but it has not--despite being nominated for Emmys. Maybe someone will try again some day. I live in hope!
