'Repost' in X/BlueSky context means to copy a reference to a post into your timeline, so if someone visited your profile (including you), they'd see it. It also may show up for some of your followers as 'something to look at'.

If what you mean is how do you put a reference to a bluesky post into a DU message, you click the ... and click the 'Copy Link to Post' and then paste it into a DU message. Like I've done here. A URL like this is best we get for BlueSky for now but I have to think the admins are working on getting the links to pop up as a preview like we have for X and Youtube and such.

because I tried to follow your directions while on my android phone and Kindle, both of which don't do things the laptop does. Now that am on the laptop, your directions to the link *work*. The three dots on the phone/Kindle don't have the option "Copy Link to Post" - same thing with some DU things, such as Rec-ing OPs.

can't be made to appear on DU the way Twitter images can.

I've sometimes lifted images from Twitter, if the Bluesky user is posting identical messages there as well - as many people are - to include in a DU post where I provide the Bluesky link.
