I forgot about the albums. Yesterday my daughter and her husband went to the remains of their home to see if they could

salvage anything. In what used to be their music room is what my daughter described as a “Lava flow of vinyl.” 1,000 + LPs.
Most of them collected by me during the 50s, 60s, and 70s. When she was growing up I would let her take several a year for her own collection. When she turned 50 I gave her the remainder of my collection.

Frequently I would buy both an album to listen to as well as an unopened duplicate to keep. Most of these were from the sixties including The Beatles, Stones, Pink Floyd, The Who, etc. All gone! Oh well!

So glad she's safe. I have no words for the scope of this disaster.

All those years of collecting.
I have no more vinyl. Just never wanted to invest in a new turntable & too lazy to care for LPs
But, it would be cool to have a collection.
Sorry your stash is history.

Vinyl wears out so quickly, and then one gets to hear all the warm-sounding clicks, pops, and hiss.

I did the same thing. I used to laugh when people would ask, "Did you record that from a CD?"

Of my collection but I realize I

don't need to own them to hear them. I do still have the early vinyls and 45s that I bought before I was married because those were at my parents house.

Sorry you list yours it is a shame.
