Were both sitting on sofa and Duncs eyes will shift to the grilled ham and cheese sandwich and bowl of soup that is cooling on coffee table.
And then look at me as to say father i think the snacks are cool enough.

something you have that he wants.
I once got into a loving-gaze stare-down with my dachshund while holding a piece of cheese. She held my gaze unflinchingly except for an unguarded half-second when her eyes darted to my cheese, giving the game away.
I relented and gave her the cheese. What else was I going to do?
