Well, I just put my birthday cake into the oven....

I'll frost it in the morning and take it to my lunch with friends.

I really like to cook and bake, so it's not so odd that I'm baking my own cake....

WHAT? No corners? How do you get extra frosting if you don't have corners?

The 'cake' part is the excuse to have frosting.

Sort of like a baked potato is an excuse to eat a ton of sour cream.

Okay, I guess if there are no corners, I'll have to settle for an extra slice.

Baking is one of my favorite mental health activities and right now I have 23 cupcakes and a giant loaf of homemade bread sitting on my counter.

I started doing it a couple of years ago when I turned 65. That way, I'm doing what I want, with the people I want to join me.
