Main board. The computer was due for replacement, but I wanted to wait until I could set aside the cash for it. I thought about building one myself (I built lots of them early in my career in IT) but a) I haven't kept up with component specs and b) I hate dealing with any warranty issues that may pop up.
So I ordered one online from CLX.

(31,306 posts)It suddenly would not turn on. I took it in and they said power supply, so they ordered the part, but it didn't work. They did data recovery too. I ordered a really nice gaming computer at a good price to replace it.
I had to do everything for the election on my dinky $140 Chromebook and then waited several weeks after the election to finally order another. (Mainly because the specs are kinda hard to figure out these days)
I just checked out CLX, but gosh figuring out all those specs! I probably could have gotten it cheaper on CLX, but it would have taken me longer to get it. I got my computer on Amazon. It arrived in three days. It looks like the price has risen since I purchased it.
