my cats were all led to my house in one way or another. They either walked in, stayed on the front porch, decided to come to dinner one night and then stayed, or fell out of a tree and on top of my head (at least THAT one was a kitten!). I even had a Mama Cat bring one of her kittens to us and left her with us. Granted, this kitten was very different. An orange tabby, she was female. She was also polydactyl. And totally in love with my border collie. There was many a time I had to take her away from trying to seduce my dog! (LOL) Her name was Puter. You can guess why.

The Universe has stopped providing them to me lately. I fear I offended Her when I didn't fight tooth and nail to rescue the Flame Point Siamese from across the alley who's owners let him run roughshod all over the neighborhood. The last time I saw him, between the dirt and the mats you couldn't tell what color his beautiful coat actually was. But this man is totally crazy. He's had the cops called on him for domestic violence and he came after me, threateningly one night when I was on the curb with the cat loving on me. Even called the cops on me, at which time I turned him in for threatening behavior and animal negligence and mistreatment. Since he had threatened to shoot one of my cats if he ever saw him outside the yard again, I'm terrified he took care of his "problem" his way. OTOH, I'm hopeful Mr. Kitty found someone who would take him in and train him to be an indoor cat. Yes, I fell in love with that cat. And yes, the deranged idiot is still right behind me, across the alley. Only now, he has "yippy" chihuahua dogs.

She rubs up against our legs and that's about it. She wants affection, I can tell but she can't bring herself to let us touch her. I worry about her health as she gets older.

Friend of mine in Georgia takes care of 15 indoor/outdoor cats.

Lets them relieve themselves outdoors, buys wet and dry food, and cat treats.

We jokingly call the treats "cat crack."
