I have to lock the door into the garage, or she'll open it and explore.
I don't mind as long as I'm not leaving.
But when I have some place to go, I lock it so she doesn't get into the garage and bolt when the garage door opens.

down and then the dog would push open the door with his head.

I had to lock the door to keep them from escaping.
