Fascinating show on Apple TV (The Big Door Prize)

We just finished S2E1 last night

(Heroic effort to avoid overselling and spoilers follows)

In a way, it reminds me of some of Rod Sterling's Twilight Zone, where many of the gimmicks, or oddities used in each episode were actually besides the point, it was the way people would react to a situation, and towards each other

In TBDP, the people of the small town each have their own unique personalities and circumstances, and ways they all interact with each other

Something very anomalous is suddenly dropped into their midst, and its trivial change it inserts into their lives, has some fascinating impact

The quality of the writing and acting is superb

It's a most compelling show, but grows on you slowly, as it just feels slightly surreal, as it all should be mundane , but is far from it

Totally unpredictable, every episode leaves me surprised
