MAGA's Galling Lie: Blaming Democrats for Political Violence

Republicans have a lot of nerve accusing Democrats of ramping up the rhetoric after the shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner. No sooner had the sun risen on Sunday morning than Rupert Murdoch’s New York Post editorialized, “What will it take to get lefty pols and media to quit their sick, dangerous accusations about Trump, which are surely fueling the hostility and deadly violence?”

Trump proctologist Scott Jennings, who never met a wind socket he did not try to emulate, mouthed off that, “We have a violent streak on the left and a rhetoric problem on the left, and it must be acknowledged today.”

Shut the fuck up. Seriously.

Condemnation of political violence does not require collective amnesia or the pretense that the danger in American politics began when Democrats started describing Donald Trump accurately.
