Images coming from the apocalyptic California fires are absolutely tragic. Tens of thousands of acres have burned, people have lost their homes, all of their belongings, and some have even lost their lives.

Tragedies like these are supposed to unite Americans, and we expect our politicians to rally behind the people who are suffering from it all.

Instead, whenever disaster strikes, Trump and his heartless maga cult immediately use it to attack their political opponents. They make up wild conspiracy theories, and lie about recovery efforts. The modern GOP does everything they can to politicize the victims, and distract from the fact they don’t intend to do anything to help them.
