but you wouldn't know it -- from their coverage of events and polling since then -- that they really meant it. Yes, they are a corporate voice and their leadership has said taking a stand on the side of democracy is not part of their mission.

.... republish it today. I know that because it is disclosed at the top of the article.

Could you please explain how editorializing against TSF in July.... and then reprinting the editorial today at the start of early voting.... fits in with the alleged directive to take a stand against democracy?

Inquiring minds want to know!

.... the Times/Siena poll is somehow "biased". It has, however, the highest rating at 538. It seems that whoever wrote this article is conflating "news I'd rather not know about" with "bias".

It also complained that NYT does not report TSF's verbal stumbles. But doing a quick search shows that they are not remiss:

How Trump’s Verbal Slips Could Weaken His Attacks on Biden’s Age: Donald Trump, 77, has relentlessly attacked President Biden, 80, as too old for office. But the former president himself has had a series of gaffes that go beyond his usual freewheeling style.

... assertive and conclusionary without much in the way of evidence. He used to like the Times when he was a kid, then changed his mind when he became a regular reader. Some people agree with him, some don't. OK. Big deal.

The Times did report that polls showed a lot of discontent over Bidens age. I didn't agree with that discontent and still don't, but we know now how that turned out. I don't agree with the majority, but it seems we are better off now than we were. So, do we thank the NYT? Or maybe they were just doing their job.

The Times has also reported Trumps felony convictions and that he is an adjudicated rapist. Mr. Gravitose doesn't deny it, but for some reason he isn't happy with it either. Oh well.

If you don't like the Times, don't read it.
