GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) A Greensboro mother is upset at a North Carolina congresswoman who responded to a letter from her 10-year-old son.
Christian Mango says he received a letter from Congresswoman Virginia Foxx.
I could understand half of it. But not all of it, Christian said.
His mother, Emily Mango, says the reply from Foxx was regarding an assignment from Christians teacher at Canterbury School in Greensboro.
Christian and his class, they wrote a persuasive essay of their choosing. They mailed it off to a representative, a CEO, whoever the decision maker was to be influential in their persuasive essay points, Emily said.
Christian says the topic he chose involved electric vehicles.................

Foxx is a nasty ol bit**!!
As part of a class assignment a 10-year-old NC boy wrote a letter to his congresswoman on a topic of his choice. He wrote suggesting tax rebates should be given to those with electric vehicles. Virginia Foxx responded by attacking the boy and his teacher

NC mother calls Rep. Virginia Foxxs letter to 10-year-old reprehensible. Foxx told 4th-grader she guessed his teachers were 'too busy indoctrinating you.' He had suggested $5K tax rebate for new electric vehicles. (Via @dani__battaglia

(11,350 posts)She might still get elected, but fairer maps would reduce her power and she'd be easier to beat. Her district shape is interesting. I'm in it. My county votes for her enthusiastically, but I do live in the BFE. This will hurt her, but I doubt it causes her to lose her seat. I will certainly do what I can to talk it up! I hate that nasty battleaxe.

Excuse my sexist comment, but she's a worthless old bitch and I doubt many tears will be shed at her death.

(33,342 posts)I found last summer that Virginia Foxx was the lead sponsor of the amendment that defunded the CPB, and ironically during her teaching career, the Republican representative of her current district voted to fund CPB in the early '70s: https://www.democraticunderground.com/100220531990

People like her are the reason we can't have nice things. Like a government that respects the people it is supposed to protect and serve.
One might wonder how she sleeps at night. But then, one might also wonder what color her coffin is.

(4,181 posts)I leased an EV in September before the federal tax rate expired. Given the current circumstances that this administration and the Republican Party chose to do and continue to support , I havent been forced to stop at a gas station, other than to use the bathroom or tap an ATM, since then. Not to mention there are free EV chargers in some of my state parks and forest areas.
Yay for me! Come join us if you want to give the one finger salute to oil companies and Republicans in general.
