President outlines potential for a new level of cooperation with Italy
Ukraine and Italy will explore the possibility of signing a Drone Deal. Rome has already expressed interest in such arrangements, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
The Ukrainian leader recalled that Ukraine has developed a special agreement format for partners the Drone Deal.
"It covers our military expertise and defense capabilities in drones, missiles, electronic warfare systems, and data sharing. We propose combining all of this with the capabilities of our partners," Zelenskyy explained. According to him, it is important that Italy has shown interest in such cooperation.

(13,046 posts)There's nothing to prevent the individual countries within NATO from establishing alliances with Ukraine. It's interesting to think of where this could lead, if they continued to establish alliances of various sorts with the other NATO countries as well. It's not inconceivable that they could ultimately function very much as a member of NATO in all but name. Well, except for U.S. support, at least while TSF is in office.
