FBI's No. 2 quietly tells colleagues he's moving on

Source: MS Now

Speculation and anticipation has gripped the nation’s premier law enforcement agency over the future of one of its top leaders, FBI deputy director Dan Bongino.

Bongino has quietly told confidants he plans to formally leave his job early in the new year and will not be returning to headquarters to work this month, according to eight people briefed on his account.

Bongino told his team and some senior FBI officials that he tentatively planned to announce his departure on Dec. 19, according to four people. Several people said some of Bongino’s personal effects have been cleared out of his office as of last week.

Bongino, a Trump ally and former Secret Service agent who built an enormous following as a conservative, pro-Trump radio and podcast host, was an unusual choice when President Donald Trump installed him in the post in February. He was the first deputy director in modern history who had no experience as an FBI agent. The deputy serves as the day-to-day operations chief of the agency.

There are starving massive sharks circling that ship as the rats jump for their lives. And they are all working for Jack Smith.

Hopefully, the utterly befuddled Patel will follow him out the door.

He needs to go back to the cult full of conspiracy theories , where there is no accountability.

This is a great example as to why the US government hires qualified, educated professionals. The maga movement are pissed off because they don't get the jobs they are not qualified for. So Donald just puts the most unqualified people into these high profile jobs, almost as if he expects the agency to eventually fail. Failure will be blamed in agency heads, which will take the heat off of Donald. The agencies are hanging on by a thread. DJT needs to be impeached now. He is wreckless and demented.

the republicans don't consider competency in hiring for government jobs, just loyalty (corruption is allowable)
