Evangelical Leader Says Trump’s Rob Reiner Post Represents ‘The Shame of our Generation’

Christian Today editor in chief Russell Moore pulled no punches in blasting President Donald Trump’s comments Monday on the murder of legendary director Rob Reiner and his wife.

Trump posted to his Truth Social and appeared to blame the grizzly murder on his anti-Trump politics. Trump wrote Reiner was killed “reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS. He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before.”

Moore, who is also an evangelical preacher and former top official at the Southern Baptist Convention, shared Trump’s message and added, “How this vile, disgusting, and immoral behavior has become normalized in the United States is something our descendants will study in school, to the shame of our generation.”....................................

It seems it takes tragic deaths to awake some folks to the horrors of our "President"!!

…that Russell Moore used to be an “evangelical leader,” but that movement effectively shunned him after he refused to bend the knee to Trump and the Christian Nationalist movement. Now, he’s probably regarded by most as an “apostate liberal.”

It's not on any of us. No one else of import is following his lead.

It's one hate filled dementia ridden psychopath speaking entirely for himself. It's him, say so!
We never had so much hatred in this country until he said he would run to MAGA. The day he descended that escalator changed everything. If anything he's a virus that spread hate across the willing, but there's a cure.

was loved by both the left AND the right. The right knows he's a liberal activist, but his and his father's work transcended the left/right political dichotomy and are part of American culture, so they (the right) just don't care that much about his liberalism.

Because of that, many if not most of those on the right are saddened by this tragedy and are disgusted by DJT's remarks just as much we on the left are
