BREAKING: Jim Acosta Expected To Leave CNN

Source: Mediaite

Jim Acosta is expected to leave CNN, according to Oliver Darcy of Status News.

Darcy, a former CNN reporter, on Monday night said the 18-year veteran of the network has indicated to associates that he plans to leave the network after being removed from his 10 a.m. weekday time slot by CNN CEO Mark Thompson.

-snip-

Regarding Thompson’s suggesting that Acosta move to midnight, one source familiar with the situation said CNN was offering a sacrifice of sorts to Acosta’s longtime nemesis, President Donald Trump.

“They want to get rid of Acosta to throw a bone to Trump,” a source told Darcy. “Midnight is not a serious offer when his ratings are among the best on the network.”

She wasn't fired like Acosta.

From Google ...

Why did Ana Cabrera leave CNN for MSNBC?
And Ana Cabrera, a popular daytime anchor at CNN, left the network late last year, eventually joining MSNBC. A person familiar with the matter says the anchor found CNN could not or would not compete against rival compensation offers. To be sure, CNN has made hires as well.May 31, 2023

Like moving his show to midnight or 2am or most anything that isn't prime time viewing. And it's not a ratings issue it's a CNN kissing the abundant ASS of Trump issue by CNN out of fear. His show could just vanish when it's on at 2am and that would kill his income and career.

IMO he could win in court if it came to that.

or may be concerned at how current employees who have been asked to take pay cuts would view an offer to him.

Until they know what their own future as a spinoff looks like, they may have to be cautious.

Fake audience, fake questions, fake lighting to favor that orange POS. It was all a set up deal ONLY for Trump. It was never a real Town hall meeting.

I've never watched that phony ass network since that day.

you are not over-reacting! Unfortunately entirely too many others do not appreciate the mortal threat we face and sense of urgency required to combat it.

More and more capitulation or improving the odds that trump doesn’t go them. The press used to have courage and commitment.

As I had said before, CNN has become "Fox Lite " in its quest for ratings. The new management had earlier screwed Don Lemmon and is now screwing Acosta. He doesn't need CNN, and, like Lemmon, should start his own national podcast instead.

Nah...let's wait until the fist concentration camp starts going up. And even then....SILENCE.

People don't need to guess about any of this and how it will go. It's all recent history that started with Mussolini and a new movement/party they named "fascists".
