If there is not a color icon on an address, it means a building has not yet been inspected.

3. Chaparral life cycle is based on periodic fires. The top burns hot with its oils, dry wood, and leaves but ..

…. the plant will come back from its roots. The English and Spanish explorers saw massive fires
in what is now Southern California 100s of years ago from their ships. One of the problems is that
you can remove the vegetation around your home on flat ground but the chaparral on the steep slopes
and cliffs is still there and it will burn like crazy from the bottom to the top of a hillside in minutes.

4. The random untouched houses

in the midst of a sea of red houses.. or in various overhead images online.. is kinda mind blowing. Like.. this house is burned to the ground, as is the SUV in the driveway, and another one with walls maybe 20 feet away.. looks untouched
