I use Facebook as little as necessary to stay in touch. I keep Twitter around, even though I don't use it, just to keep my name protected from adverse possession.

I too used FB to "keep in touch".

The other day, I called an old friend I hadn't talked to for over 20 years, although we did interact some on FB.

The phone call was much more personal, engaging, rewarding and enjoyable.

I've never had a facebook, threads, twitter, instagram, tik-tok , etc account. And somehow I've gotten along just fine. If your using those platforms your contributing to the GOP's dominance, plain and simple. Social media is a digital form of crowd control don't let them tell you what to think.
