(21,141 posts)But we all know, or should know, that they never will.
Their only allegiance is to Mango Mussolini and the fascist plutocrats who continually support him. They don't care one iota for the citizens of our once-great country, and certainly not to the ideals of our forefathers.

"Documents unsealed by the U.S. House Oversight Committee detail the extensive relationship and email correspondence between former independent counsel and Baylor University president Kenneth Starr and the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Key details from the released files include:
The 2008 Plea Deal: Long before he served as president of Baylor, Starr acted on Epsteins defense team. He was instrumental in securing a highly controversial non-prosecution agreement that granted Epstein immunity from federal sex trafficking charges, which was later uncovered by journalists at the Miami Herald.
Baylor University Visit: Newly released communications verify that Starr hosted Epstein on the Baylor University campus in Waco, Texas, in 2012, four years after Epsteins initial sex crime conviction.
Close Correspondence: The emailsreviewed in depth by outlets like Chronreveal a remarkably warm friendship. Starr frequently signed off his messages with phrases like "Hugs, Ken," "love ya," and "Yuletide hugs".
Defending Epstein: The files include a 2018 email where Starr defended the lenient 2008 plea deal, arguing that Epstein "paid his debt to society" and stating that his crimes should be allowed to close "in the spirit of the bedrock American belief in second chances"
The utter hypocrisy of the Republicans is disgusting and completely expected.

(6,209 posts)Republicans called 22 y/o Monica a child.
Matt Gaetz called his 17 y/o state border crossing minor girl a young woman.
A republican Christian spiritual advisor to Trump molests a 12 y/o child and she magically becomes a young lady.
Trump likes his girls at 13.

(13,488 posts)Those screaming the loudest were, themselves, guilty of much worse, like Newt Gingrich, who dumped his wife while she was in the hospital with breast cancer, so he could marry his mistress, the mistress who became ambassador to the Vatican.
Now they want to bury a report of massive child rape, sex trafficking and worse because the perps are their friends and donors, as well as those currently holding office. Republicans are truly evil.
