https://pulse2.com/deezer-launches-free-ai-music-detector-for-playlists-across-major-streaming-platforms/The company said the detector is powered by its proprietary AI music detection technology and requires only a few steps. Users connect their streaming accounts, allow Deezer to scan their playlists, and receive results they can share with others.
According to Deezer, nearly 43% of users who join the platform from competing streaming services already have AI-generated tracks in their playlists. An Ipsos survey commissioned by the company across eight countries found that 80% of respondents believe AI-generated music should be clearly labeled and 73% want streaming platforms to identify when AI-created songs are being recommended.
Deezer said it receives nearly 75,000 AI-generated tracks every day, representing more than 44% of all daily uploads to the platform. Since implementing its AI detection technology at the beginning of 2025, the company has identified and tagged more than 13.4 million AI-generated tracks.

I'm gonna take a wild guess you're not a musician

(63,563 posts)on all the copyrighted music the AI companies could steal, as well as all the writing about that music those robber barons could steal, because the words written about that music are what enable a prompt from an AI user to tell the AI what to assemble.
If anything generated by AI seems superior to you, it's only because that particular piece was based on theft from human-created music you love, or would have loved.
AI music is completely unethical to create, and it steals attention from the real musicians whose work was stolen to train the AI. It also encourages AI users in the delusion that they're somehow creative.

I don't want AI generated music either. But do I believe this software is going to accurately tell the difference? Hell no.

(3,486 posts)Besides that, my taste is music is decidedly from an older time period, so thankfully Im very unlikely to stumble across AI generated music.

(63,563 posts)won't. I've seen so many posts on different platforms from people trying to find out if a particular new video is AI, not wanting to waste time or, worse, recommend, an AI-using fake musician with so little respect for real musicians that they'll use AI.
Spotify put a fake band, pure AI, on their very popular playlist for Vietnam War era music:
Rick Beato - So It Begins...Is This A Real Band Or AI? - UPDATE, July 5

And I've seen AI slop video channels claim their fake music by fake artists is just "rediscovered" music from the past.
I've enjoyed seeing how fast Reddit mods usually delete AI slop. And if it isn't immediately deleted, there's usually zero response or a couple of responses pointing out it's slop, AI garbage.
