(20,021 posts)that his denial that you are in such a situation is disrespectful to both you and the flag. Get loud about how you are experiencing "extreme danger to life and property" as outlined in 4 USC 8(a), and he's an asshole for trying to scold someone instead of attempting to render aid.
When dipshits don't mind their own business, put them on their backfoot.

Sometimes I get a blank stare or a sneer. (I live in red South Carolina, after all.)
More often of late, however, I get a grin, a chuckle. a pat on the arm, or a hearty handshake in agreement.
