Working Class' Blues?

Not the rich or famous but rather our struggling middle class to make ends meet.

When I struggle with the everyday price of essentials? It’s costing me more than I can afford. But I’m only me! I’m single, now children, never married or supporting anyone else except myself.

I can’t imagine what a small middle class family or any family has to endure just to survive. Everything is so high priced!

I was at a truck stop yesterday, washing my clothes. While walking thru the store , I looked at some of the items they were selling. This certain truck stop usually is reasonably good on prices, but at this one? Ouch! It was packed with customers and so I walked around! The prices were outrageous higher any of the other stores owned by this chain.

I get where you are at and the convenience of what is around you, is going to affect the prices. But this place’s prices were not cheap.

The funny part of this? I was in Trump country! Northern Wisconsin.

Yet, they believe Trump when he and his ill conceived cronies say prices are coming down? Gullible or ignorant? I guess they don’t care?

I didn’t buy anything, only paid $8 to do my wash.

Crazy how many people are struggling to make ends meet & these corporations and politicians don’t even care anymore!

As I said, I struggle just to make ends meet. I don’t have the words to express it pains me to see most people in worse situations than me.

Thanks GOBers! Haven’t you seen or had enough of this garbage?

I shop 3 different grocery stores for the best deals. Two big wholesalers for most food. One is a fresh vegetable market. Last week they had a special on farm eggs, a dollar a dozen. Loaded up. The other sells almost out of date items.
I belong to a local charity that has a resale shop that I volunteer at 2 days a month. This week I bought a pair of name brand jeans, like new just broke in for $5. Also 2 name brand short sleeve button up with a pocket shirts for two bucks each. I get an additional discount for working there. This little shop does about $1,000 a day in sales and every penny goes into the community for parks, schools, scholarships and other projects. They have an international eyeglass project supplying vision for third world countries.
Also shop yard sales and flea markets.
It’s a hobby that I’m lucky enough to be retired for 24 years with lots of time to invest in it.
It’s my own personal battle against higher prices.
