Trump Has Cratered with Independents

“Independents have grown increasingly unhappy with President Donald Trump during his second term, a new AP-NORC polling analysis finds, particularly those without a college degree.”

“Research shows that while about half of independents without a college education had a positive view of Trump around the 2024 election, his approval with that group fell to about one-quarter this spring.”

“That shift has erased the large education gap that existed among independents in the months before Trump took office for his second term, with independents now holding similarly negative views of the president regardless of their level of education.”

Right now, many of them don't really trust either party. They are voting Democrat as a check on Trump. Through them, we can eventually become the dominant party, if we can convince them that we will make a difference in their lives. The big issue is wages!

The prevailing thinking has been that most independents mostly lean one way, and that they will reliably vote that way. The original post shows that that is no longer true.

"about half of independents without a college education had a positive view of Trump around the 2024 election??"

I mean WTF?? Is it true that "about half of independents without a college education had a positive view of Trump around the 2024 election??" How come?? He certainly didn't do any of them any favors to warrant such a point of view. Biden/Harris, on the other hand, did. Is the influence of Fox Noise THAT pervasive that half of the independent votes of the United State actually had a favorable view of Trump? WHAT IN THE WORLD DID HE DO to warrant that?? As far as I can tell, that's nothing. It's our media, and the uneducated populace that swallows their crap.

I was at a community breakfast that my wife helped organize this morning. A woman from Wales, living here in Germany, was there, and she asked how come the Democrats aren't doing anything against Trump? I asked her whatever gave her THAT idea? She said she never heard anything in the media. I asked her if she knew who Mark Kelly was. She said yes. I asked her if she knew that he was at the Munich Security conference in March? Or that he was in Paris later that month? No, she had no idea? I said, right, and guess why? The European media didn't report on it. Democrats do things. We can't FORCE the media to report it, but it's not like we're making a secret of it.

I get the impression that the worldwide media only report negative things about Trump and Republicans when they have literally NOTHING else to report about.
