?si=i7-rPHHW5vPD95hMThe Apache Incident, Kharg Island, and Irans Oil: What Happens Next?
Momocracy
An Apache helicopter goes down near the Strait of Hormuz. The crew survives. Iran is blamed. Within days, the conversation shifts from a military incident to Kharg Island, Irans most important oil export hub.
In this video, we take a deep dive into the Apache incident, Kharg Island, Irans oil infrastructure, the Strait of Hormuz, and what experts believe could happen next. We explore why Kharg Island matters, how disruptions in the Persian Gulf affect global oil markets, and why tensions between the United States and Iran could impact gasoline prices, inflation, shipping routes, and the broader world economy.
We also examine Irans possible responses, the role of China and Russia, the concerns of Gulf states, and the political psychology behind military escalation. Most importantly, we ask a simple question:
How did a helicopter incident become a conversation about Irans economic lifeline?
Topics covered:

Kharg Island explained

Strait of Hormuz
Trump and Iran
Oil prices and inflation
China and Middle East strategy
Russia and global energy markets

Political psychology of escalation

(14,472 posts)The felon will never make the necessarily humiliating deal.
Never.
We'll have some weeks of "a deal any day now" and some weeks of "I'm the strong guy holding out for better." But there will be no deal.
He knows the deal that needs to be made will paint a giant L for Loser on his forehead and the narcissistic psychopath is incapable of sucking up the loss.
The only way a deal will be made before January 20, 2029 is if he dies or is removed from office. Then J.D. will make the humiliating deal. That is, recommit to Obama's Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), shovel out a whole lot more of their frozen assets than Obama did, and perhaps even accept a toll... uh "environment fee" (although I would hope they wouldn't destroy the law of the seas in that way).
