I listened to a couple stories this morning on BBC and NPR about all the empty hotel rooms. FIFA reserved 70% in some areas then cancelled at the last minute. Cities like Kansas City bent over backwards to prepare a welcome for the world but only a fraction of those expected arrived. Who would when ticket prices are exorbitant?
