LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A woman faces charges after Metro police said she climbed into the Venetian Fountain on the Las Vegas Strip, grabbed a baby duck and tossed it back and forth, injuring the duck, according to an arrest report.

Police arrested Destiny Reyes, 29, on two counts of willful or malicious torture, maiming, or mutilations of an animal, records show.

On June 9 around 12:15 p.m., Metro police responded to a report from hotel security at the Venetian Hotel and Casino stating that a woman had climbed into the Venetian Fountain and grabbed a duck, the report said.

With the help of the Nevada Department of Wildlife, the duck was later identified as a baby duck, and it is referred to as "Daffy," in the police report.
