"If enacted, it would make Trump Tower's official address 401 N. Barack Hussein Obama Avenue. I'd love that for him.🖕😁

Whow--I sure wish this will happen!!

Trump Tower rises from the center of downtown Chicago on a major north/south street called Wabash Avenue. A petition is circulating to have the city formally rename a four-block strip of Wabash after a certain famous Chicago resident.

If enacted, it would make Trump Tower’s official address 401 N. Barack Hussein Obama Avenue. I’d love that for him.🖕😁🖕

Telling someone to turn left onto N. Barack Hussein Obama Avenue likely will not go over too well, plus a street sign containing 30 characters would be quite inefficient.

Therefore, what of using: N. Obama Ave. instead (?).

because tRump always includes it, with emphasis (and a sneer) - “Barrack HUSSEIN Obama”. I’m sure he thinks it makes Obama’s name sound “foreign” and threatening.

30% seems like a lot of vacancies.

When we took one of the architectural boat tours on the Chicago river, the boat was moored in a position looking directly at that damn TRUMP sign. I pulled my visor low over my eyes until we pulled away. It was an otherwise lovely day.

Bad part of it though, it would increase the property value. He'd sell at a profit.

Now that I think about it, I don't think he owns that building, I think he just rents his trademark to the owner. He may own the commercial park like shops and hotel.

It's not a licensed use of the name.
Technically though, the banks own the place. There are loans on top of loans. Likely the leverage exceeds the assessed value of the property.
The hotel is never sold out, the underground retail space is a ghost town & the living spaces & office floors are about 30% unoccupied.
Another investment by him that was a disaster; for others. (Mostly the idiot bankers that were still lending him money 10 to 18 years ago.)

for a couple days. Right next to the House of Blues and the parking towers that were used in a Steve McQueen movie. We walked by a few times. There was was one rent-a-cop guarding the place. Some people we were with wanted to go up to the 12th floor or wherever the scenic balcony was. You had to walk through a restaurant to get outside. There was a snotty hostess that said we would have to buy something if we wanted to go out there. Typical. We said we would and went out to take photos. When we came back in, she was gone and we left. We talked about peeing in the elevator on the way down but there was probably a camera, so...

My memory was jogged and I asked AI: "Was this the building project given to Bill Rancic from The Apprentice?"

and the answer came back:

Yes, Donald Trump oversaw the construction of the Chicago Trump Tower and assigned it to Bill Rancic after Rancic won the first season of The Apprentice in 2004.
