They did nice flyover of Philly Independence Hall before heading on down River.
Noticed they were kind of low on the river
They hit NYC and West Point also before coming South. They must carry as much smoke material as fuel 🤣🤣

Jun 9, 2026 PHILADELPHIA
As one of the first official displays of their Liberté 250 tour of the United States, the French Air & Space Force's Patrouille de France (French Aerobatic Patrol) performed a series of flyovers of major cities and landmarks on Tuesday June 9, 2026. The team arrived in the United States, having landed at the New York Stewart International Airport near New Windsor, New York, and embarked on flyovers of the United States Military Academy in West Point, before flying down the Hudson River and doing a flyover of New York City and the Statue of Liberty (which, as you should know, was a gift from France and dedicated in 1886 - making 2026 the 240th anniversary of its dedication).
Following their flyover of NYC, the team progressed down to Philadelphia for a flyover of Independence Hall, as seen in this video. The eight jets did the flyover and resume their flight from Stewart down to Wallops Island, located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. The Patrouille de France's Liberté 250 tour of the United States includes airshow appearances at three airshows in Maryland (Ocean City, NAS Patuxent River, and Baltimore) along with participation in a massive flyover in New York City on July 4. The team will return back to France following that flyover and as of the date of this video's publishing, they will not be participating in the Jones Beach Airshow.
This may actually be nearly exclusive coverage of the Philadelphia flyover from my location; the New York flyovers were heavily publicized and there was almost no coverage of the Philly flyover.

(71,279 posts)Tomorrow, at some time, the Thunderbirds will be flying over ZIP code 20500. That's in downtown DC. There's a lot of construction in that ZIP code. PopVille, WTOP, and ARLnow will have the time. So will the scanner listeners.
And good evening.

(3,135 posts)Somehow I thought they would fly over DC (yes I know it's restricted but...).
Thanks for the info on the Thunderbirds.

(71,279 posts)Added: the last time there was a flyover of ZIP code 20500, for King Charles, maybe, the F-16s, going from north to south, flew DIRECTLY over Del Ray and Old Town. I happened, by chance, to be outside when they went past.
You could not miss them. They were making a slow turn to the left, toward PG County.
Arlington Cemetery has flyovers all the time.
See ya.

(71,279 posts)F-16 Thunderbird flyover this afternoon about 4:55?
The people who listen to scanners are talking about a flight from Nellis AFB to Wallops Island today. The flight took off three minutes ago. The flight is now scheduled to arrive at Wallops Island at 5:15 p.m., so that would put them over DC at about 4:55.

(71,279 posts)west to east, directly over the Lincoln Memorial, the Mall, and the Capitol. Then they keep going.
I could be wrong. They might make a loop. Pete Hegseth isn't returning my calls.

(71,279 posts)The flightpath shows its route as being well south of DC. Just north of Federicksburg. Seems like a missed opportunity for a flyover.
