I don't feel like Jake Tapper really has strict principles, I don't think he is evil or amoral but I think he will turn a blind eye to certain things if it suits him. He road Biden's age hard but has said very little about the same subject when it comes to Trump. I don't think its because he likes Trump over Biden. I just believe he felt like he could get more mileage after going after Biden with it and writing a book. He probably doesn't feel like the same would happen for Trump... the market for books criticizing Trump is really saturated.

Some journalistic "targets" deserve both barrels be unloaded (e.g., Trump and his entire grifting ilk). To do less would be leaving a false impression that the findings were not incredibly serious. Others just need straight-on reporting--even if painful--but without piling on. Arguably Tapper did not see a difference in method then. I suspect he does now.

At least he seems to be trying to do so.

The problem I have with your post is that it uses this good story he did today to negate everything he did wrong during the Biden administration. It doesn't. Not even close. He was brutally unfair to Joe Biden and it was documented here and elsewhere at the time. That happened. We were right to call him on it.

Tapper is a stand up guy. Is that the point of the post or the Trump grift? I can’t tell.

After that foaming at the mouth diatribe against President Biden with the Bombing of American troops in Afghanistan, I stopped watching him and CNN.
