"Bearing witness has never mattered more than it does now." Velshi, 06/07/26
WE WILL NOT LOOK AWAYIn the last segment of his weekend show "Velshi", Ali Velshi explained the importance of bearing witness in these dangerous times.
He reminded that the press is NOT the enemy of the people. The press guarantees that the people can bear witness.
He emphasized that the power rises from you, the people. And..."in this moment your country need you".
Ali Velshi embodies all that good journalism is intended to be. I often felt I was in a master class as he laid out his segments that brought together reporting, background, and analysis, on Saturdays and Sundays.
I am sure "The Eleventh Hour" will shine with him in the anchor chair. Some people may find themselves wanting to stay up late.
