(14,678 posts)... are supposedly the reasons NOT to pursue nationalized or universal healthcare -- but weirdly, those reasons directly, accurately, and obviously describes the for-profit system we currently DO have!

What is happening in the US insurance industry, they project (intentionally) onto universal health care. If my dr states I need a procedure, or to go to a specific specialist, I am not denied.
I've been listening to this podcast, there are a number of doctors, including the channel's owner, who moved to Canada from the US. It's interesting to hear about it from a dr's perspective as well.
