Why Trump's Delusions Are So Dangerous: Psychologist

President Donald Trump has crossed from grandiosity into full-blown psychosis, psychologist Dr. John Gartner has warned.

Gartner, a former professor at Johns Hopkins University, told The Daily Beast Podcast that the 79-year-old president is engaged in “magical thinking,” as evidenced by his belief—as reported by Dr. Mehmet Oz—that Diet Coke kills cancer cells.

“It’s something that, again, we associate with psychosis. We also associate it with young children. Freud called it ‘primary process.’ It’s kind of the most primitive type of thinking, where if you imagine it, it must be true. But this is just magical thinking. Anything that occurs to him—any stray, crazy thought—is true,” Gartner told host Joanna Coles.

Gartner, who said a few weeks ago that Trump’s mental “deterioration” was accelerating, then mentioned several of Trump’s fanciful social media posts: his since-removed depiction of himself as Jesus Christ, his mock-up as the pope, and his Truth Social post calling himself the “acting president of Venezuela.”

Trump is surrounded by servile flatterers who use excessive praise, fawning, and insincere devotion to remain in his good graces.

They’re not “crazy” or “stupid”, they’re evil. Everything they’re doing is deliberate. Whether it’s the tariffs, the tax cuts, manipulation of the markets, the war and whatever other policies the Project 2025 people are enacting, it’s about extracting wealth from the working class and sending the money up the ladder to the owners all while feathering their own nests.

Saying he’s “psychotic” or “delusional” makes it seem as if he doesn’t have any control over his actions. He and they absolutely know what they’re doing. It was the same with Reagan and W. Everyone was so busy calling them stupid that they overlooked the fact that they were ruthless class warriors enacting policies to benefit their class.

All Piss wants is the spotlight on him at all times so he’ll do, say or post anything that ensures he’s always the center of attention. He doesn’t care if the attention is positive or negative as long as everyone is talking about him. He’s not crazy.
