I wouldn't put it past trump to know all the dirty details in the past of these addicts and use them to his advantage.

Loooong ago, there was a congressman from Massachusetts, John McCormack, who I have been told had a terrible drinking problem, and that he would make long drunken speeches on the floor of the House. It was never reported in the press because they covered for people in those days. He served as Speaker. Others say he was a teetotaller. I am not sure what to believe.
Joe McCarthy had a drug addiction.
